Monthly Wrap up for May 2025

May TBR Revisited Goodreads started a new challenge that lasts until June 30th. Three of these bookmarks were just about reading a certain number of books. They were easy to get! A mystery one was unlocked on May 15th and the other was unlocked on June 1st.  Reading Stats Books Read in May 2025 Emily Wilde #2 and #3   by Heather Fawcett  ★★ ★★★ and ★★★★☆ These were great additions to the series. I enjoyed them both quite a bit! The Dangerous Convenience Store Vol. 2 , 3, and 4 by 945  ★★★★☆,  ★★★ ☆ ☆,  ★★★★☆ I liked watching their relationship grow. There is also quite a bit of angst along with their joy. The fourth one ends on such a cliffhanger too!       Crying in H Mart  by Michelle Zauner  ★★ ★★ ★ I loved this book! Review: The Troop by Nick Cutter

  I read this book back in October of last year, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. I’ve talked about it multiple times, and I still feel like I need to talk about it even more, so here we are! Originally published on February 25, 2014, this novel blends horror, thriller, and science fiction. There are many elements at play, and I think that each element makes the story better. This is a story about a boy scout troop in Canada that is going on its annual camping trip to a remote island. They settle in the same cabin they use every year. The only thing that's different is that a man shows unexpectedly who is shockingly thin and voraciously hungry. He carries something with him that is far more dangerous than any weapon. I found this book both disturbing and fascinating as everything started to come together. Every character gets a moment to shine in their own way.
